PARTS OF THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

Today we are going to explain you the parts of the Respiratory System.

1.Nasal Cavity: Condition the air to be received by the other areas of the respiratory tract.
2.Pharynx: Extends from the mouth to the larynx, and it becomes  continuous with the esophagus.
3.Larynx:  The prevention of foreign objects from entering the lungs by coughing and other reflexive actions
4.Trachea: It filters the air we breathe and branches into the bronchi.
5.Bronchi:  Permits rapid diffusion of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
6.Bronchioles: It helps to pass the air to the lungs. 
7.Lungs: In the lungs oxygen is taken into the body and carbon dioxide is breathed out.
8.Diaphragm:  The diaphragm contracts, the volume of the thoracic cavity increases and air is drawn into the lungs.
